Singapore Press Club is happy to organise the embassy-media roundtable and dinner event hosted by the German Embassy, Singapore.
This event is convened by the Singapore Press Club with the aim to bring together journalists and communicators in Singapore with diplomats and senior officials from the host embassy.

Ambassador's remarks will focus on Germany's priorities in the bilateral relations with Singapore, the recently concluded Strategic Partnership and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Singapore.

Attendees to present identification card/passport document at the security checkpoint of the Ambassador's Residence to gain access to the event.
Those who made it to the invitation list will receive an email confirmattion by 12 February 2025. Those not confirmed will be placed on the wait-list and extended an invite when there is last minute vacancies due to cancellations.
Please consider carefully that you can attend this event before you register as every invite comes with a cost. Should you be extended a confirmation invite, please have the courtesy to give early notice to the Club if you cannot attend so that we can extend the invite to someone on the waitlist.

Ambassador Dr Bettina Fanghänel is a career diplomat with almost two decades of experience. Prior to her arrival in Singapore, Ambassador Fanghänel was Head of the State Secretaries’ Office at the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. Before that, she served in various capacities in the Federal Foreign Office, among others in the Foreign Minister’s Office, and at the Federal Chancellery. Her international career includes a posting to the German Embassy in Beijing, China.
Ambassador Dr Fanghänel is married and has two children.

Wallbank is a graduate of Michigan State University and holds an MBA from the University of Illinois.
