A pioneering green building and sustainability advocate for over two decades, Esther has been instrumental in establishing CDL’s leadership in sustainability. It is ranked top real estate company on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World since 2020. It became the first real estate conglomerate in Southeast Asia to sign the World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings commitment in February 2021.

Named by Reuters as one of 25 trailblazing women leaders in climate 2023, Esther’s pioneering ESG initiatives include publishing the first sustainability report in Singapore in 2008 and issuing the first green bond by a Singaporean company in 2017.

The chairperson of the Sustainability Report Advisory Committee in Singapore, she also sits on board the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Supervisory Board, GRESB Foundation Board, and UN PRI Real Estate Advisory Committee. She chairs the World Green Building Council Corporate Advisory Board; the Asia Pacific Real Estate Association’s ESG Committee.

A forerunner in embracing the UN SDGs, Esther was conferred 2018 SDG Pioneer for Green Infrastructure and A Low Carbon Economy by the UN Global Compact.

He serves as Chairperson for ESG Working Group, Law Society of Singapore.

Quentin has spent the last 12 years in Asia Pacific working on Energy and Sustainability. With a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Quentin decided to contribute to the energy transition by working with Alstom and General Electric. Convinced that the energy sector needed a radical shift, he went on to join Metron, a startup dedicated to energy efficiency and decarbonizing some of the most energy intensive industries. He went on to head the Asia Pacific region for FiscalNote ESG Solutions as their Managing Director.

Today, Quentin acts as Managing Director – Sustainability Solutions for Zuno Carbon, a startup providing end-to-end carbon and ESG management solutions and helping organizations move forward on their sustainability journey. He also acts as an advisor for various organizations on the subjects of sustainability, ESG and decarbonization.

A firm believer in making an impact outside of work, Quentin has also been working with various nonprofit organizations such as the Halogen Foundation and The Matcha Initiative, where he mentors youths and young professionals from all industries to acquire the skills to drive a sustainability agenda.

Robin has lived and worked in Asia Pacific since 2006, in Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore. He has 20 years' experience in journalism, writing about media, government, technology and sustainability.

As the associate editor of Eco-Business, Robin reports on the latest sustainability trends in Asia Pacific. He has a particular interest in biodiversity conservation, plastic pollution, the palm oil trade, and Southeast Asia's energy transition.

Robin has a degree in zoology from the University of Bristol, and spends his weekends rescuing snakes, birds, monkeys, and lizards as a volunteer for Singapore animal welfare charity ACRES.

As an environmentalist, Jasmine Tuan is hyper-aware that diligently practising what one preaches is foundational for the greater good. And as ardent lover of clothes, she is intimately aware of the culpability of the fashion industry in taxing the planet.

Hence, Cloop (‘Closing The Fashion Loop’), a recycling and upcycling enterprise that aims to minimise overconsumption and waste in the fashion space, a platform from which Tuan’s zero-waste gospel can reach the masses.

Her ardour has led to swapping, up-cycling and recycling blossoming in popularity and regularity at the ground level in Singapore. It is reported that Cloop helped save over 1.3 million kilograms of clothing from the trash last year. And at last count, it installed over 300 yellow recycling bins in neighbourhoods across Singapore, where people can drop off unwanted clothes, textiles, shoes, and accessories.
